Located in the heart of The Hague, the Koorenhuis is an old and beautiful music school dating from the 17th Century. Here flute players can join group lessons, have private lessons, and participate in the fluteStudio BODYLAB sessions: an opportunity to develop flutists' skills, body awareness and musicianship.
All ages and levels are welcome.
The fluteStudio BODYLAB
In my career I've had the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the ways our bodies relate to music and music making. My own background involves, amongst others, studies with:
Fajo Jansen (Movement class, The Royal Conservatoire The Hague)
Mariana Danani (Eutonia technique, National Conservatoire Buenos Aires)
Luis Porfiri (Renaisance and Baroque dance, and Baroque gesture)
Ricardo Rodríguez Miranda (Baroque dance, the Royal Conservatoire The Hague)
Rita Dams (Sivananda Yoga, The Royal Conservatoire The Hague)
Katie Duck (Movement improvisation, Amsterdam)
Fiona Tree (Alexander technique, Royal Conservatoire The Hague)
I believe there isn't one exclusive way of approaching our creative bodies: by being in contact with different techniques we can find answers -or new questions- that resonate with our particular selves.
The fluteStudio BODYLAB is a series of weekly lessons taught by different specialists in diverse techniques. Flute players have here a space to discover new ways of relating with the instrument, with other musicians and with the stage.
Due to the Corona regulations places are limited, booking in advance is required. Price: 15 euro per session.
With a specialization in historical instruments, I have a wide view of the development of the repertoire for the flute, and I'm familiar with different aesthetics in flute music. All flute lovers are welcome in my private lessons.
Chamber music coaching for ensembles.
